JOB ADVERT: PROJECT SAFETY, SECURITY AND AAPS OFFICER

The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services, a leading Faith-Based Health Organization committed to providing quality healthcare and community development services across Cameroon, is requesting applications from qualified, committed and dedicated individuals to serve as Project Safety, Security and Accountable to Affected Populations (AAPS) Officer, on a two-year multi-annual project titled “Joint Action for Stabilization, Inclusion, and Resilience in Border Communities of Northern Cameroon (JASIR)”, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

 

TERMS AND DURATION Contractual and full-time Duration : 2 Years (Fixed-term contract) Duty Station : Far North Region, Cameroon Salary : Negotiable

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminology, International Relations, Peace and Conflict Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field Professional certifications in security management (Certified Security Professional - CSP, Hostile Environment Training - HET, UNDSS security certification) and AAPS are highly desirable

Professional Experience : Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in security management, preferably with an NGO, UN agency, or humanitarian organization in high-risk or conflict-affected environments Experience in Cameroon’s Far North Region is mandatory Proven experience developing security plans, SOPs, and conducting risk assessments for field projects

Technical Skills : Proficiency in communication equipment (VHF/HF radios, satellite phones, GPS, trackers) Mapping skills (Google Earth, GIS basics) Incident reporting and investigation skills First aid/emergency response training (BLS, FAFA)

Languages : Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory Knowledge of Fulfulde and/or local dialects is an advantage
