JOB ADVERT: PROJECT COMMUNICATION OFFICER
The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services, a leading Faith-Based Health Organization committed to providing quality healthcare and community development services across Cameroon, is requesting applications from qualified, committed and dedicated individuals to serve as Project Communication Officer, on a two-year multi-annual project titled “Joint Action for Stabilization, Inclusion, and Resilience in Border Communities of Northern Cameroon (JASIR)”, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
TERMS AND DURATION Contractual and full-time Duration : 2 Years (Fixed-term contract) Duty Station : Far North Region, Cameroon Salary : Negotiable
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, International Development, or a related field A Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Development Communication) is an advantage
Professional Experience : Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Media, preferably with an NGO, UN agency, or international development project Demonstrated experience working in the Far North Region of Cameroon or other remote, security-sensitive environments is a strong advantage Proven experience producing content for donor-funded projects, including strict adherence to donor visibility guidelines Experience with community-level awareness campaigns (radio, theater, visual aids) in low-literacy settings
Technical Skills : Exceptional writing and editing skills in both English and French Proficiency in photography and photo editing (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent) Proficiency in videography and video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar) Experience with graphic design (Canva, Adobe InDesign, or Illustrator) for producing brochures, posters, and infographics Basic knowledge of website content management (WordPress or similar)
Languages : Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory Working knowledge of Fulfulde and/or local dialects is a strong advantage
