JOB ADVERT: PROJECT HEALTH OFFICER
The Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Health Services, a leading Faith-Based Health Organization committed to providing quality healthcare and community development services across Cameroon, is requesting applications from qualified, committed and dedicated individuals to serve as Project Health Officer, on a two-year multi-annual project titled “Joint Action for Stabilization, Inclusion, and Resilience in Border Communities of Northern Cameroon (JASIRI)”, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
TERMS AND DURATION Contractual and full-time Duration : 2 Years (Fixed-term contract) Duty Station : Far North Region, Cameroon Salary : Negotiable
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, or a related field Master’s Degree in Public Health or Epidemiology is an added advantage
Professional Experience : Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in clinical or public health practice Mandatory experience working in Cameroon’s Far North Region or similar remote field locations Experience in project implementation with NGOs, UN agencies, or international development organizations
Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of health and social protection program implementation Proficiency in data collection, management, and reporting systems Ability to prepare donor reports and ensure compliance with health program standards Understanding of Cameroon’s health system and community health structures
Languages : Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory Working knowledge of Fulfulde and/or local dialects is a strong advantage
