WE’RE HIRING DIGITAL & CASH MANAGEMENT SALES MANAGER A BETTER WAY A BETTER AFRICA

JOB PURPOSE Drive the growth, adoption, and commercialization of Ecobank’s digital banking solutions across Corporate, Commercial, and Public Sector clients. The role will focus on deposit mobilization, revenue generation, client acquisition, and deepening wallet share through digital channels and in collaboration with partners (Fintech, telco, other financial institutions, etc.). The Digital Sales Manager will act as a key bridge between Product, IT/Digital, and Relationship Management teams to deliver superior client value to sustain Ecobank Cameroon as a leading digital transaction bank in the market.

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  1. Business Development & Growth Drive sales of digital banking solutions (payments, collections, liquidity management, host-to-host, APIs). Achieve defined deposits, revenue, volume, and adoption KPIs for digital products. Identify and originate new business opportunities across target segments. Grow transaction volumes and non-funded income from digital channels. Working with in-country stakeholders, lead country’s Cash Management input to global or regional Request for Proposals (RFPs), referrals and pitches. Strong knowledge of remittance and payment flows within CEMAC and across Africa, with the ability to leverage this understanding to drive business growth.

  2. Client Engagement & Solutioning Partner with Relationship Managers to position digital solutions in client engagements. Understand client needs and propose tailored digital solutions. Lead client presentations, demos, and onboarding discussions. Support RFPs, proposals, and complex deal structuring.

  3. Digital Adoption & Client Experience Drive onboarding and activation of clients on digital platforms. Monitor client usage and proactively address adoption gaps. Ensure seamless client experience in collaboration with implementation and support teams.

  4. Pipeline Management & Performance Tracking Build and maintain a robust digital sales pipeline. Track performance against KPIs (deposits, revenues, volumes, active users, etc.). Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights.

  5. Stakeholder Collaboration Have a deep knowledge of the regulatory environment and how it impacts the banking industry with the constantly changing landscape. Work closely with Product, IT/Digital, Operations, and Implementation teams. Align with Group initiatives on digital transformation and product rollouts. Support training and capacity building for front-office teams.

  6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning Monitor market trends, fintech developments, and competitor offerings. Provide insights into enhancing product propositions and pricing strategies.

 

JOB PROFILE Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, IT, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certification would be an advantage. Minimum 5–8 years relevant experience in: a. Transaction Banking / Cash Management b. Digital Banking / Fintech / Payments c. Corporate Sales or Business Development d. Relevant experience from the Telco business sector. Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to engage and influence senior and executive leadership across Country, Regional, and Group levels.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or any other related field. Strong understanding of digital banking products and payment ecosystems. Proven ability to drive sales and business development, with solid experience in structuring and managing strategic partnerships to deliver commercial value. Excellent client engagement and presentation skills. Strong commercial acumen and results orientation. Ability to structure and close deals with a mastery of the governance around the business. Good understanding of APIs, integrations, and digital platforms. Strong stakeholder management across matrix environments. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and experience interfacing with key regional regulators (GIMAC, BEAC, COBAC, etc.) would be an added advantage. High level of professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability.
