JOB OPENING IN DOUALA (01) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) TEACHER
POSITION SUMMARY The IT Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging Information Technology and Computer Science lessons that develop students’ digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving, and responsible use of technology. The teacher creates a positive learning environment and supports the integration of technology across the school.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and deliver IT and Computer Science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum Assess student learning, maintain academic records, and provide regular feedback to students and parents Create an inclusive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment Develop and update teaching resources and contribute to curriculum improvement Promote the effective and ethical use of technology in learning Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and extracurricular activities Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and technology integration across the school
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field Recognized teaching qualification or certification Experience teaching in an international school or delivering an international curriculum is an advantage
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Excellent English communication skills for teaching Knowledge of or willingness to learn the Cambridge curriculum Strong ICT mastery for teaching applications Ability to design and implement effective educational programs Skill in managing diverse classroom activities and student needs Proficient in assessing student learning with various methods Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills Collaborative team player with colleagues and the community Commitment to continuous professional development and responsible technology use in education
