About Good Neighbors:
Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is an international non-governmental organization with its head office in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua, Mbalmayo and Batouri. GNCMR's work is focused on community development, implementation implementing projects in the sectors of food security and livelihood, education, child protection, water, hygiene and sanitation, health, environment, gender and advocacy. Good Neighbors Cameroon works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Position: Temporary Volunteer
Staff reports to: NTD Officer (NTD Department)
On a general note, the NTD Temporary Volunteers will participate in the execution of all tasks related to work of the department and Good Neighbors in general.
A. Workplace: Head Office-Yaounde
B. Specific profiles required:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
1- Be a Cameroonian national and possess a valid National Identity Card;
2- Be between 18 and 28 years old;
3- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree/BSc in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field;
4- Have at least one year of relevant professional experience in monitoring health programmes and/or working with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), preferably international NGOs in the health sector and in the area of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs);
5- Have basic to intermediate knowledge of the DHIS2 platform, with demonstrated skills in data entry and data analysis;
6- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
7- Be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in either English or French. Knowledge of local languages is an added advantage;
8- Be physically able and willing to travel and work in the field as required by the position;
9- Demonstrate punctuality, courtesy, tact, professionalism, and good interpersonal and communication skills;
10- Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines;
11- Be available and able to commit fully to the assigned responsibilities, without professional or personal commitments that may interfere with the effective performance of the duties;
12- Be willing to comply with the organization’s internal policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
