Excell Finance is looking for an Accountant
Category 1 MFI - COOP-BOD
Join a rapidly expanding Microfinance Institution dedicated to transparency, accountability, and community development.
Core Duties
• Keep precise financial records and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for;
• Prepare and process payments, receipts, journal entries, and bank reconciliations;
• Generate financial statements, budgets, and monthly management reports;
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks;
• Oversee the fixed assets register and inventory records;
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits;
• Ensure proper filing, documentation, and secure storage of financial records;
• Assist with tax filings and statutory declarations;
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Branch Manager or Management.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, or a related field;
• Experience in Microfinance is a plus;
• Fluent in both French and English;
• Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel);
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational abilities;
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
• High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail;
• Available to start immediately.
