Overview of Role: 

CHAI seeks a highly motivated Graphic designer Intern to support the graphic design and digital production of malaria case management training modules on the national e-learning platform.

This is a three-month paid internship offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, digital learning, and public health. The interns will work with CHAI’s Case Management team, under the direct supervision of the Case Management Associate and Programme Manager and will collaborate with other stakeholders from the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP), CIS (Health Information Unit) and other Ministry of Public Health counterparts.

Interns will contribute directly to the development of interactive training modules, attend project meetings, and support the upload and formatting of materials on the platform. They will be expected to demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and initiative by not only executing assigned tasks but also proposing innovative approaches to improve the user experience of the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Design and produce visually engaging learning material, including graphics, icons, layouts, infographics, animations, interactive elements and videos for malaria e-learning modules.

-          Translate existing in-person training content into digital-friendly formats, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accessibility.

-          Edit real life videos and integrate into the elearning platform

-          Collaborate with the NMCP, CHAI Case Management team and subject-matter experts to align visual materials with technical content and learning objectives.

-          Support the technical process of uploading and integrating modules on the e-learning platform (e.g., Moodle/OpenLMS).

-          Attend internal and external meetings related to e-learning project and contribute creative insights.

-          Incorporate feedback from supervisors and stakeholders promptly, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

-          Ensure compliance with CHAI and MoH branding guidelines.

-          Proactively identify opportunities to enhance user engagement, proposing innovative design ideas and solutions.

-          Maintain well-organised design files and version control systems.

-          Prepare an action/work plan for the period of 3 months

-          Conduct any other tasks as requested by their supervisors.

Competencies and expectations:

·         Apply and strengthen design skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) or similar tools as well as appropriate AI tools

·         Develop familiarity with digital learning platforms and e-learning design principles.

·         Demonstrate creativity and attention to detail while producing professional, technically accurate designs.

·         Manage time and tasks effectively to deliver outputs on schedule.

·         Communicate clearly in English and French.

·         Work collaboratively in a multicultural team and respond constructively to feedback.

·         Show adaptability, initiative, and a proactive attitude by suggesting innovative design solutions to enhance learner engagement.
