Job Purpose
The P.E. Teacher is responsible for developing students’ physical fitness, sporting skills, teamwork and understanding of healthy lifestyles through engaging and inclusive physical education programmes.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured P.E. lessons appropriate to students’ ages and abilities.
Teach a variety of sports, physical activities and fitness programmes.
Develop students’ physical, social and teamwork skills.
Assess students’ performance and provide constructive feedback.
Promote healthy lifestyles, physical wellbeing and positive attitudes towards sport.
Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
Inspect and maintain appropriate sports equipment and facilities.
Adapt activities to accommodate students with different abilities and needs.
Organise and supervise sporting events, competitions and extracurricular activities.
Supervise students during sports activities, trips and competitions.
Maintain appropriate records of student attendance and progress.
Collaborate with other teachers and participate in school events.
Follow all school policies, particularly Child Safeguarding, Health & Safety and the Code of Conduct.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education or a related field.
Relevant teaching qualification is an advantage or required where applicable.
Previous experience teaching P.E. or working with children/students.
Knowledge of sports, fitness and basic first-aid/safety procedures.
Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
Ability to motivate and engage students.
