Job objective
The Primary Teacher is charged with creating a secure, stimulating and supportive educational atmosphere where pupils advance their academic, social, emotional and personal competencies.
Main duties
Plan and provide captivating, age-fitting lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
Instruct core subjects and develop pupils' literacy, numeracy, communication and critical-thinking capabilities.
Prepare teaching materials, classroom activities and assessments.
Track, evaluate and document pupils' academic progress.
Provide tailored learning and additional support where needed.
Create and sustain a positive and inclusive classroom setting.
Encourage pupils' participation, creativity, independence and confidence.
Communicate routinely with parents/guardians about pupils' progress and development.
Identify and report any concerns about pupils' wellbeing or safeguarding.
Keep precise attendance, assessment and student records.
Take part in staff meetings, training sessions and school activities.
Work with colleagues to support pupils' overall development.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and school projects.
Ensure adherence to Child Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Code of Conduct and other school policies.
Required qualifications & experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Primary Education or a relevant field.
Recognised teaching qualification/certification is an advantage or required where applicable.
Prior experience teaching at primary level.
Solid grasp of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
Capacity to differentiate instruction according to pupils' needs.
Good digital literacy and ability to integrate technology into teaching.
