JOB ADVERTISEMENT : CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (1 POSITION) -   TAARA MOBILITY PLATFORM Cameroon

As we prepare for our commercial launch in Buea and Limbe, we are seeking highly motivated, innovative, and results-oriented professionals to join our founding team.

Total Headcount    6 Founding Staff
Location    Buea & Limbe, South West Region, Cameroon
Employment Type    Full-Time
Probation Period    Six (6) Months

4. CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER (1 POSITION)

Job Purpose
Deliver exceptional customer support to riders and drivers, maintain satisfaction metrics, and ensure every complaint is resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities
•    Respond to customer and driver inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, and in-app messaging
•    Log, track, and resolve complaints within agreed timelines
•    Maintain accurate customer records and interaction logs
•    Escalate unresolved issues to the Project Director or Operations Manager
•    Monitor app reviews and social media for service feedback
•    Support driver welfare — relay concerns from drivers to the recruitment team
•    Assist with onboarding communications for new users and corporate clients

Qualifications
•    HND or Bachelor's Degree in any field
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
•    Patient, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach
•    Experience in customer service, hospitality, or call centre operations preferred
•    Comfortable working with WhatsApp Business, phone-based support, and basic CRM tools

Key Performance Indicators
Customer satisfaction score above 90%
All complaints resolved within 24 hours
First response to inquiries within 10 minutes during operating hours
Zero unresolved complaints older than 48 hours
Customer retention target — less than 10% churn in first 90 days
