3. DRIVER RECRUITMENT OFFICERS (3 POSITIONS)
Job Purpose
Recruit, onboard, train, and support drivers on the Taara platform. These roles are the engine of supply-side growth and critical to achieving break-even.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and approach potential moto-taxi drivers and operators in Buea, Limbe, and surrounding areas
• Conduct onboarding sessions including app training, platform orientation, and code of conduct briefings
• Verify driver documentation (licence, ID, insurance, vehicle roadworthiness)
• Monitor driver activation rates and follow up with newly onboarded but inactive drivers
• Liaise with moto-taxi unions and Fako Drivers Association for group onboarding opportunities
• Organise monthly driver engagement activities and town halls
• Manage referral bonus programme — track referrals and ensure timely payment
• Report weekly driver pipeline numbers to the Project Director
Qualifications
• HND or Bachelor's Degree in any field
• Experience in recruitment, sales, field operations, or community mobilisation preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — must be comfortable working in the field
• Knowledge of the Fako Division transport landscape is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in English; Pidgin and French are an advantage
Key Performance Indicators
Minimum 15 qualified drivers recruited per officer per month (30 combined)
Driver activation rate above 80% within 2 weeks of onboarding
Driver retention above 75% after 3 months
Documentation compliance at 100% — no driver activated without complete file
Founding cohort of 25 drivers onboarded and active by end of Month 1
