JOB OFFER : EVIHDAF - Evidence for Sustainable Human Development Systems in Africa October 2023Job Title: IT and Logistics AssistantLocation: Yaoundé, Cameroon.EVIHDAF is an international research and evaluation organization headquartered in Yaoundé, Cameroon, which serves the West and Central Africa region. It provides services in Research, Evaluation & Learning; Data, Analytics & Information Systems; and Social & Behavior Change Strategies. Its practice areas include Health and Health Systems, Nutrition and Food Security, and Agriculture and Livelihoods. We have a USAID-funded project office in Niamey, Niger, and a Data Unit satellite office in Parakou, Benin (www.evihdaf.com).We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate to fill the position of IT and Logistics Assistant, She/He will be responsible for supporting key IT and logistics functions of our operations in strict compliance with EVIHDAF policies and procedures and specific donor rules and regulations. Also strive to ensure efficient and accountable use of donor funds.The candidate will work under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager of EVIHDAF. The position is based in Yaoundé, Cameroon and requires flexibility as well as strong organizational skills.ResponsibilitiesIn particular, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:a. IT Duties (about 65% of time)• Install and configure the software, operating systems, and digital tools that enable the EVIHDAF's employees to work.• Install and maintain company assets (laptops, storage devices, tablets, recorders, speakers, projectors, etc.) as well as install relevant updates and patches.• Provide technical assistance to office staff as needed and supervise/process help desk support requests.• Ensure the security of the organization's data by installing and updating appropriate cybersecurity, anti-virus, and firewall security tools.• Assist in maintaining internet service and telephone systems.• Maintain inventory of hardware devices, keep a record of ownership, and replace obsolete equipment.• Train the EVIHDAF's employees to increase digital literacy, enhance data security …
